Abstract

Fine needle aspiration biopsy can be very available in the oral and maxillofacial area because of its accuracy, safety, and usefulness. We tried to diagnose a variety of diseases in 27 patients by FNAB. The accuracy rate of FNAB is 80%. This
technique
is very available in the diagnosis of sialadenitis, lymphadenitis, and abscess and evaluation of metastatic lymph node. But the accurate diagnosis of benign or malignant tumors is impossible. It is valuable that a variety of cells are collected
by
this
simple technique and observed by oral pathology. We consider that the accurate samphng technique and close cooperation between experienced surgeons and oral pathologists are very important.
